Here is my letter home that I did in class.
Dear Mum
It has been 1 year and 23 days. I miss you so much. Say hi to Sally and Sophie for me. Being a nurse is a gruesum job you see heaps of blood and I have only two people die on me as I said in my last letter wich is good.
Could you send some more biscuits and a sock for Jerald? But only one because he had to get his leg amputated it was not pretty but it was nice because I did it. There is a cut back on paper as you can tell from my other letters because I was writing on hard tack but this time I was lucky I got the last piece. I have three medals and I hope to get more
I miss everyone and wish and I could come home (now would be good.)
With all love

Art Questions
Turangawaewae Inquiry Metacognition - The Power Of Reflection
- You created 3 pieces of art in class. Which one were you most proud of and why?
I am most proud of my Heitiki. Because it has lots of colour and the shapes of the tiki are in the places that I wanted them in and because think that the etching that I did was very colourful
- You were asked to submit your very own/individual piece of art that represented you and something you were inspired by. Explain in more detail about this
I have submitted a piece of art I made with Dvds. It is a Dolphin with some blue DVDs underneath it to look like water and parts of a yellow Dvd as the sun. Here is a photo.
3. You learned some new skills during our term of art - cross hatching, colour composition, Maori motifs, patterns, and symmetry. Choose one and explain in more detail exactly what you learned.
We used a lot of Patterning and symmetry one of the symmetry pieces of art was the Korowai or A.K.A a cloak. We had to have the same on one side as on the other side.
4. Our trip around Hawke’s Bay was to inspire us. Describe what your highlight was from this trip and why.
It inspired me to do a mosaic. Because I saw so many amazing ones and I wanted to try something new.
5. If we carried out this Turangawaewae Inquiry topic again, what would you change/do differently?
I would change the colour of the background on my Hei-tiki.
6. Identify one person's artwork that you are impressed by. Explain why?
