My Amazing Self Portrait!!!
We used an art technique called cross-hatching to create our self portrait this year. This technique creates more of a 3d effect which is what we were wanting rather than just colouring ourselves in. Miss O'B had an A3 black and white photo of us. First we had to colour our pupil, iris and cornea's with appropriate colours. We then used 'people crayons' which are made with skin tone colours. Using the two closest colours to our skin tone, we cross hatched our face starting at our forehead and moving down to our neck. The hardest part was our nose. We then coloured our hair, completed our school uniform and blocked out the background in a vibrant pastel colour so our faces stood out. So what do you think of my self portrait?

Superhero's!!!!!
In class we have been doing superheros. We made our superheros by taking a photo of ourselfs then cut out our head and drew a costume mine was lightning. Then we make two powers. My ones were to make people laugh when they are feeling down and to make sure people are having a good year.
There were lots of powers and superhero's.
